Named for the evening star.
Vespera opened its doors in 1987, in a workshop above a clockmaker on 14 Lantern Row. The house takes its name from the evening star — the first light you notice, and the last you forget.
Three decades on, the bench is the same. So is the rule: one piece at a time, no two alike.

The Atelier

Odile Ferrant has set stones by lamplight for thirty-one years — the last nineteen of them at this bench. Every Vespera piece is cut, cast and finished by her hands, under the same tungsten lamp, to a standard no machine is asked to meet.

Begun at dusk, finished by first light.
A commission begins as a conversation at dusk and ends, some months later, in a box lined with slate silk. Between the two: five quiet stages, each signed off by you.
