How we help

Five matters, one steady method. Find yours below, read what happens first, and see how the money works before anyone asks you to commit to anything.

Need protection today? Just been served?

Skip the reading. Call now and a person answers today: protection orders, recovery orders and anything with a deadline attached are heard the same day.

matter 01

Divorce and separation

The divorce itself is paperwork. What matters is everything attached to it, the property, the parenting and the timeline. We run it all in order, so you only sign things once.

what happens first

First we confirm the separation date and what it starts: interim arrangements, timelines, and who stays in the house while things settle.

Do we have to be separated for a while first?

Waiting periods depend on where you live, and time separated under one roof can still count. Property and parenting don't have to wait for that clock, and starting them early usually shortens everything.

matter 02

Parenting arrangements

Weeks, school runs, holidays, birthdays. We turn the hardest conversation of your life into a written routine the kids can rely on and both houses can keep.

what happens first

First we write down the current week exactly as it happens. Stability starts with what already works, not with a blank page.

Will my children have to choose between us?

No. Children are never asked to pick a side. Their views can be heard gently, through the right people and weighted for their age, but never in a courtroom.

matter 03

Property and money

House, savings, retirement money and the small business all count. One pool, openly disclosed, divided by contribution and future needs, then sealed so it cannot reopen later.

what happens first

First we build the balance sheet together, listing what exists and what it's worth, then tracking whose name it is held in. Most fear dissolves the day it's all on one page.

Can I stay in the house?

Often, at least for now. Who stays short-term and who keeps it long-term are different questions, and we will answer both at the first appointment.

matter 04

Protection and urgent matters

We treat safety as the priority, ahead of paperwork. Protection orders, recovery orders and urgent applications move at phone-call speed here, the same day you reach us.

what happens first

First we make today safe, working out where you sleep and where the kids are, and who needs to know what. The legal steps follow within hours.

What if it is not bad enough to count?

If you are asking, it counts. Call and describe one ordinary week. We will tell you what the law can do, and nothing happens without your say-so.

matter 05

Mediation and agreements

A neutral room, both voices heard, and the outcome written down properly: parenting plans and binding agreements that actually hold.

A calm mediation room with an oak table, upholstered chairs and frosted glass walls
the room where most of it ends well

what happens first

First we prepare you privately, covering what you want and can live with, and what to do if the other side stops responding. You never walk in unrehearsed.

What if my former partner will not come to the table?

Then the invitation becomes more formal. Most people attend once the alternative is explained to them, and if they still refuse, you have lost nothing but a fortnight.

plain money talk

The money, before you have to ask

The first appointment is a fixed $240. If we act for you, it comes off your first invoice. You leave with a written map either way.

Each stage is quoted before it starts, in writing. If something changes the estimate, you hear it from us that same week, before it reaches the invoice.

Payment plans exist, and asking for one is ordinary. Money pressure is part of separation, so we plan around it rather than pretend it away.
