From hello to keys
The approval path, in five plain steps
No mystery, no jargon. Here is exactly what happens between your first question and your front door.
- 1
The chat
Thirty minutes at your kitchen table or ours. You talk, we listen, nobody sells.
- 2
Your numbers
We turn your payslips and savings into one clear borrowing figure.
- 3
Pre-approval
A lender commits in writing. You shop knowing your ceiling, not guessing it.
- 4
House hunt
Fall in love inside your budget. We check every contract before you sign.
Keys
Settlement day. The lender pays us, the agent hands over the keys, and you walk in.
No fine print
The math, shown honestly
Real numbers on real paper, with every assumption spelled out before you commit to anything.
| Loan size | Demo rate | Monthly repayment |
|---|---|---|
| $480,000 | 5.89%* | $2,844 |
| $600,000 | 5.94%* | $3,574 |
| $720,000 | 5.99%* | $4,312 |
Two rates, side by side
That gap is roughly $212 a month* on a $600,000 loan, and close to $12,700* over five years. Real money, back in your pocket.
A worked example, in plain words
Say you have saved $40,000. On a $500,000 home, that is an 8% deposit. Add about $20,000* for stamp duty and costs, plus lenders mortgage insurance near $9,000*. You could borrow roughly $469,000*, with repayments around $2,780 a month*. We walk through your real version of this before you spend a cent.
* All rates and figures in this section are illustrative demo content, calculated on a 30-year principal and interest loan. They are not a quote, not advice, and not an offer of credit.

Sit down with Mara
I spent nine years inside a bank, saying no by formula. Now I say maybe for a living, and most of my maybes turn into yes.
I will show you what the bank sees when it reads your file, what to fix first, and how long it honestly takes. Then I stay on the phone with you until settlement day.

Keys they already hold
We walked in convinced we were two years away. Mara found a grant we had never heard of. We picked up our keys in March.

Every form explained in words I actually use. When I panicked about the deposit, she redid the math that same night.

As a single buyer I felt invisible at the bank. Mara treated my file like it mattered, and found a sharper rate than I was offered on my own.

Questions we hear every week
What does a broker cost?
Nothing out of your pocket. The lender pays us a commission when your loan settles, and we show you that figure in writing before you sign anything. Our help costs you $0*.
How much can I borrow?
It depends on your income, your debts and the size of your deposit. Most first-home buyers we meet land between four and six times their household income. Half an hour with your real numbers beats any online calculator.
How long does pre-approval take?
With your documents ready, usually three to five business days. Some lenders on our panel answer in 48 hours. We do the chasing so you do not have to.
Do I need a 20% deposit?
No. Plenty of our buyers settle with 5% or 10% saved, using a government scheme or lenders mortgage insurance. We show you what each path costs in real dollars, so the trade-off is yours to make with open eyes.
