What we need for a ballpark

Three photos
The space from the street, the access path, and anything in the way. Phone photos are fine.

A rough size
Length by width in steps is enough. We check the satellite view before we quote anyway.

The finish
Name a mix from the library or say you are not sure. A budget band helps if you have one.
Ballparks are written, honest and free. If the real quote lands outside the ballpark after a site visit, we tell you why line by line.
The bands, in daylight
A published price is a policy; a spoken one is a negotiation. These are ours, installed, per square foot, USD.

Below the band usually means thinner base, lighter steel or a weaker mix. Ask any quote, including ours, to name all three.
Before you sign anything, anywhere
The questions that protect you from the wrong concreter, answered the way we would answer them across a fence.
How much deposit should a concreter ask for?OPEN
Ten percent, capped in the contract. Walk away from half up front, cash only, or leftover-concrete-today pressure. All three mean the same thing.
What has to be in the contract?OPEN
Mix strength, reinforcement, base prep, joint plan, drainage falls, price and the milestone schedule. If it is not written down, it does not exist.
Who pulls the permits?OPEN
We do, where they apply. A contractor asking you to pull their permit is telling you something. Listen to it.
What voids the warranty?OPEN
Driving before day seven, cutting the slab yourself, and de-icing salts in the first winter. It is one page long and we read it with you.
Why do quotes vary so much?OPEN
Base prep is invisible in a quote and everything ten years later. Cheap quotes usually thin the base, the steel or the mix, and you cannot see any of the three from the kerb.
Where we pour
Ferris Bend and the forty minutes around it, further for commercial slabs. If you are on the edge, send the photos anyway; worst case we name someone good near you.
