Treatments

Two lanes of dermatology, one clinic.

Medical dermatology treats skin when something is wrong. Cosmetic dermatology works on how skin looks and ages. Dr. Ellery does both, so one person reads the whole picture instead of handing you between departments.

Medical dermatology

When skin is inflamed, changing or simply worrying you, the first job is an accurate diagnosis. Every medical appointment includes an examination under magnification.

Acne and breakouts

From $180

Active acne and the marks it leaves, from topical and oral treatment to a plan for the scarring afterwards. We aim for the calmest routine that keeps it settled.

Eczema and dermatitis

From $180

Itch, dryness and flare-ups that keep coming back. We identify triggers, repair the skin barrier, and write down a routine you can actually keep to.

Skin and mole checks

From $220

A methodical, full examination with dermoscopy, and a clear record so anything that changes is caught early. If something needs removing, we explain why and how first.

Rosacea and redness

From $190

Persistent flushing, visible vessels and sensitivity. We calm the triggers first, then treat what remains, and set expectations honestly about what settles and what manages.

Cosmetic dermatology

Work on how skin looks and ages, led by the same close reading. Nothing here is sold by the syringe. If the honest answer is that you need less than you came in for, that is the answer you will get.

Pigmentation and melasma

From $240

Sunspots, melasma and uneven tone read differently on different skin. We choose treatment for your skin type, because the wrong setting can make pigment worse.

Laser and resurfacing

From $260

For texture, sun damage and vessels, matched to your skin tone and tolerance. A patch test comes first, and we would rather do a gentle course than one aggressive pass.

Ageing and skin health

From $200

Fine lines, laxity and the long game of keeping skin well. Often this looks like a considered routine and good sun habits before anything more involved.

From-prices are a starting point, not a final quote. Your plan is written up after the first consultation, once we have read your skin in person and agreed what is worth doing.

Before you book

Do I need a referral?

Not for a cosmetic consultation. For some medical appointments a referral helps with your records and any rebate you may be entitled to, and we will tell you if you need one.

Will I be treated on the first visit?

Sometimes. The first visit is mostly reading and planning. Where a treatment is simple and clearly right, we may do it that day, but we will never rush you into one.

How do you handle different skin tones?

Deliberately. Pigment and laser behave differently across skin tones, so settings and products are chosen for your skin, and we patch test before any energy-based treatment.

What does a skin check involve?

A full, methodical examination with a dermatoscope, notes and images for your record, and a plain explanation of anything worth watching or removing.

Start with a close read of your skin.
