A guided tasting among the cask rows of the Coppermill bond store

TOURS & TASTINGS · THU–SUN

Stand where it sleeps.

Every tour walks the working floor and ends in the bond store with glasses on a mat. Book ahead — the room holds twelve, we don't squeeze in a thirteenth, and Saturdays go first.

CHAPTER 1 · THE TOUR

The Bond Store Tour

$35 · 75 MIN · 3 POURS

All five stations in order, then down the stairs for Millrace, Coppermill Dry and whatever cask Saskia has chalked for opening that week. Ends at the mat, not at a till.

CHAPTER 2 · THE TASTING

The Distiller's Table

$95 · 2.5 HRS · 6 POURS + CASK DRAW

The long version: mill to safe with the stills running, then a seated flight of six at the distiller's table — including Stone Bond drawn straight from the wood in front of you. Twelve seats, one sitting, Saturday afternoons.

CHAPTER 3 · PRIVATE HIRE

The still house, after hours

FROM $600 · EVENINGS · UP TO 40 GUESTS

Evenings only, up to forty guests, with the copper lit and the mat laid long. We've hosted launches, long lunches that became dinners, and one very good wedding. Tell us the occasion and we'll build the pour list around it.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Finding the mill

We're the stone building at the end of Millrace Lane, ten minutes' walk from Stonebridge station. The bond store stairs are steep; tell us ahead and we'll run the step-free route through the yard instead.

Sensible questions

Can I bring someone under the legal drinking age?

On the 11:00 tour, yes — the walk is for everyone and we pour them our own pressed apple juice at the mat. Afternoon tours and the Distiller's Table are of-age only.

I'm driving. Is the tour wasted on me?

No — tell your guide and your three pours become a sealed set of driver's drams to take home. Same spirit, later evening.

Is the bond store accessible?

The still house and tasting mat are step-free via the yard. The 1860s cellar stairs are not — we bring the cellar to you with a cask draw upstairs, and we're honest that it isn't quite the same.

Can I change or cancel a booking?

Up to 48 hours out, freely — email or call and we'll move you. Inside 48 hours we'll always try; Saturdays are the only day we can't promise.

Do you take groups?

Up to twelve on a public tour. Thirteen or more becomes a private hire — better for you, better for the twelve strangers you'd otherwise be sharing a mat with.
