Do I need a ticket to run a mini excavator?
Depends on the site, not the machine. Most private jobs need nothing but the walkthrough we do at the gate — controls, shutdown, the do-not-dos. Commercial sites set their own ticket rules, so check with your site first and ask us when you book.
Which size fits through my gate?
The IRX-018 retracts to 0.99m — a standard side gate. The 3.5T needs 1.55m, and the 8.5 comes on a float because nothing about it fits anywhere polite. Measure the tightest point, tell us the number, we'll tell you straight.

Plate or rammer?
Rammer in the trench, plate on the base. The rammer's 280mm shoe gets between shoring where the plate can't; the reversible plate flattens roadbase in two passes without turning around. Doing both? They're cheaper together than a re-dig.
Do they come fuelled?
Full tank at handover, every time. Bring it back as-is — we refuel at cost and it's a line on the invoice, not a penalty rate.

Scissor or boom?
Finished slab indoors: the electric scissor — no fumes, non-marking tyres. Gravel, grass or reaching over something: the 4WD boom. If you're not sure, describe the ground on the phone and we'll pick with you.
Can I tow a scissor lift on my own trailer?
Usually not — it's heavier than it looks and most utes and trailers aren't rated for it. Delivery is a flat zone rate each way, and the truck does the tie-downs.

How long does the lighting tower run unattended?
The 30-hour tank covers a full weekend on a timer — set the auto start/stop and leave it. LEDs, so it sips rather than drinks.
What can the 25kVA generator actually power?
A site shed and a crew of tools without blinking. All outlets are RCD protected. Tell us what you're plugging in when you book and we'll confirm it's the right size — upsizing on day two costs more than asking.

Every bolt-on is plumbed and pinned for the IRX fleet — hire the machine from us and the fitter hangs it before you leave. Same card, no bundle maths.
Will attachments fit my own machine?
They're plumbed and pinned for our IRX fleet. If you're hiring the machine from us, fitting is free at the gate. Running your own machine? Ring with the make and model and we'll tell you honestly — usually the answer is no.
Can I add an attachment mid-hire?
Ring the yard. If it's on the yard it goes out on the next run at the day rate from the day it leaves. No re-paperwork.
