What we design and build

01

Garden design and master plans

The drawing that everything else stands on: a measured survey, a scaled master plan and a planting schedule your builder can price, whether that builder is us or not.

  • Measured site survey
  • Scaled master plan
  • Full planting schedule

Design fee from $3,800

02

Design-build gardens

One contract from drawing to handover: earthworks, stone, structures, irrigation, lighting and planting, sequenced by the studio that drew them.

  • Fixed-price proposal
  • One accountable team
  • Establishment guarantee

Projects from $48,000

03

Decks, pergolas and outdoor rooms

The structures that turn a yard into rooms: hardwood decks, pergolas with lighting circuits, outdoor kitchens and the shade that makes summer usable.

  • Hardwood and steel
  • Engineered footings
  • Lighting circuits built in

From $22,000

04

Planting and garden renovation

For gardens with good bones and tired beds: soil correction, a new planting plan and the layered structure that reads as designed, not bought on a Saturday.

  • Soil testing and correction
  • Layered planting plans
  • Advanced-stock sourcing

From $9,500

05

Garden lighting

The hour after sunset is when a garden earns its keep. Low bollards, up-lit canopies and dimmed pergola circuits, designed on the plan, not stapled on after.

  • Path and step lighting
  • Canopy up-lighting
  • Dusk timers and dimmers

From $4,200

Every Fernline project sheet states the suburb, the year, the budget band and the build time. If a landscaper will not put those four numbers next to a photo, ask why.

Asked in every consult

Why is there a design fee?

Because the drawing is the product that protects you. The fee buys a survey, a scaled plan and a fixed proposal. Free concepts are sales sketches, and they cost you at the variation stage.

What does a garden really cost?

The honest floor for a designed and built room is around $25,000, and a full property runs well past $250,000. The investment guide above is real. If those ranges feel wrong, a planting renovation is the better first step.

How long from first call to finished garden?

Typically two to four months of design and approvals, then eight to sixteen weeks on site, depending on scope. Planting is timed to the season, not the invoice.

Will you work with a design we already have?

Yes. We build other designers' plans with the same crews and the same guarantee, and we will say so plainly if a detail on the drawing will not survive your site.
