Wrenfield College is an independent K-12 school of 640 students. We are rigorous about the work, unhurried about childhood, and transparent about the fees. This page is our prospectus; the visit is the proof.

Learning

Rigour is not doing more. It is going deeper, and staying longer with what is hard. From kindergarten to the final examinations, the work is sequenced so that nothing rests on sand.

Kindergarten - Year 6

Junior School

Reading taught early and properly, number bonds before calculators, and the habit of finishing what you start. Class sizes hold at eighteen.

Years 7 - 9

Middle School

The years the questions get harder and the child decides whether school is theirs. Every student carries a language, a science, an instrument or a stage.

Years 10 - 12

Senior School

Depth over breadth, examined properly. Subject mentors, a past-paper season run sanely, and a considered next step - not a default one.

Life

A school day should have weather in it: assembly singing, mud on boots, an orchestra tuning somewhere down the corridor. The timetable protects all of it.

Six houses carry the competitions, the service roster and most of the friendships. Sport runs Tuesday and Thursday afternoons; music and drama own the evenings; Saturday is for fixtures and long breakfasts.

People

Ask our current parents what they notice first. They will tell you the students are at ease with themselves - and that the staff know every child by name and by story.

Admissions

The process is printed, the dates are fixed, and the fees hold no surprises. Most places are offered in the first round; late applications take the seats that remain.

Fees run $18,900 to $27,800 a year, printed in full with everything they include - books, devices, excursions and exam fees. You should not have to ask.

Admissions for next year close early.

First-round applications are due 30 April, and most places are offered from that round. Book a morning, meet the Head, and see the work on the desks.
