Every yard says fair. Ours is built so you don't have to take the word for it: certified scales with the readout on your side of the glass, grading at the window, and a docket that prints both weights.
CERTIFIED, ON RECORD
The bridge is trade-certified and checked on schedule, and the current certificate hangs in the scale-house window, not in a drawer.
THE DOCKET IS THE DEAL
Gross, tare, net, grade and rate on one printed slip. Your copy tears off before the money moves, and plenty of trade customers keep them for their books.
THE CREW
People, not junkyard dogs
Eleven of us run the yard: gate, bridge, window, crane. Most started as customers. Any of them will tell you what your load is worth before the scale does, and none of them earn a cent for shaving you.
The board is the whole trick. Post the price, pay the price, and the same utes come back every week. Shave one bloke on a Tuesday and the whole suburb knows by Thursday.
COMPLIANCE
Why we check ID
Metal theft is real and the laws against it are strict. We follow them to the letter, which is exactly why your metal is safe crossing our scale and your name is safe on our docket.
Photo ID on every sale
Required by law, recorded once, checked every visit. It keeps stolen metal out of the yard and honest sellers in it.
EFT, traceable, same day
Payment lands in the account matching the ID. Where the law says no cash, there is no cash, and nobody honest misses it.
Licensed and inspected
Scrap, dismantling and environmental licences current and displayed at the office window, with insurances to match the tonnage.
Cat converters by serial
Every converter is photographed and logged against the seller's ID. Serial pricing protects you and closes the fence's favourite door.
THE SITE
Know the yard before you arrive
In the gate, over the bridge, drop where the crew points, back over, paid at the window. First visit takes ten minutes; regulars do it in six.
