Care services

What actually happens in the house

Every service below is described by what your family will see and feel, with its price beside it. If you're not sure which one you need, that's normal — the situation comes first and the service name comes later.

01from $38/hr

Companionship

When it helps: loneliness, low days, family far away.

Conversation, the crossword, a drive to the garden centre. For the weeks when the house is fine but the days are long.

Companionship visits are unhurried by design — a minimum of two hours, because friendship doesn't happen in fifteen-minute slots. Your carer learns the names that matter, the tea order, the radio station. Families tell us this is the visit their parent starts dressing up for.

02from $46/hr

Everyday home care

When it helps: mornings and evenings that no longer manage themselves.

Washing, dressing, medication prompts, proper meals. Dignified help with the parts of the day that have become hard.

Personal care done the Willowmere way: the same carer, the same order of things, and the bathroom door treated like the private place it is. Every task sits in a written weekly plan you can read, question and change — nothing happens in your parent's home that you can't see on paper.

03from $44/hr

Respite for family carers

When it helps: when the person doing everything needs someone too.

From one protected afternoon a week to a fortnight away — with the routines held exactly as you run them.

You are the expert in this care; we're the understudy who actually reads the script. Before your first break we sit with you and write the routine down to the level of which mug and which window stays open. Then you go — and the house runs the way you left it.

04from $52/hr

Dementia & memory care

When it helps: repeated questions, unsettled afternoons, a changing person you still know.

Familiar faces, unrushed days, and a home kept navigable. Care that works with the memory that remains.

Continuity is the treatment here: the same one or two carers, arriving at the same times, using the same words. Our dementia-trained carers plan days around what still brings ease — the garden, the old songs, the photograph album — and write the family a short note after every visit.

05from $46/hr

Post-hospital care

When it helps: discharge this week, family panic today.

The first six weeks home are when recoveries hold or fail. We bridge them — meals, medication, appointments, confidence.

We can usually begin within a few days of your call, and we'd rather start with a fortnight than a promise of forever — most post-hospital plans wind down as strength returns. Your carer keeps notes the physio and the family can both read, so nobody is guessing how the recovery is really going.

06from $310/night

Overnight & live-in care

When it helps: night-time falls, wandering, or a family sleeping with one ear open.

A calm presence through the night, or around the clock — so 2am is never faced alone.

Overnight care is rostered in the same named-carer way as every Willowmere visit — the face at breakfast is the face you were introduced to. For live-in arrangements we build a small, fixed team of two or three carers so the house never fills with strangers.

07Paying for care

Paying for care, without the fog

Families fund Willowmere care three ways, and your advisor will walk through all of them in the first free conversation:

Government care programs

Many clients qualify for public home-care funding or subsidies. We'll help you understand what you're likely eligible for and how the waiting periods work — before you spend a dollar privately.

Long-term-care insurance

We provide the documented care plans and visit records insurers ask for, and we've filled in enough of their forms to do it quickly.

Private pay

Simple monthly invoicing against the written quote. No set-up fees, no exit fees, and any visit can be cancelled with a day's notice at no charge.

Not sure which service fits?

Describe the month you're having. An advisor will name the service, the hours and the price — and tell you honestly if you don't need us yet.
