Questions from the quoting desk
What if my roof is shaded?
Shade costs you some yield rather than the whole system. We model it panel by panel from satellite imagery and a site visit, and if the yield comes in too low we tell you before you sign.
Do you install on tile and metal roofs?
Yes. We fit terracotta and concrete tile as well as metal sheet. Tile roofs take a little longer and the quote sheet says so, and the penetrations are sealed and photographed before the panels go down.
What is the export limit?
Most homes can export 5 kW per phase. The inverter is set to the limit the network approves. Storage soaks up what the grid will not take.
Do panels need cleaning?
Rain keeps the panels mostly clean on its own. In a dusty spell, a rinse once a year keeps yield within a few percent, and we clean the systems we installed at cost.
What does the warranty cover?
Panels are warranted for 25 years on output. The inverter gets 10 years and so does our workmanship. Whichever one it is, you ring our number and we deal with it.
How long does install day take?
Most homes are done in one day. A tile roof or a three-phase build usually runs into a second day, and the power is off for about an hour while we commission the system.
