Ray Copeland started on the tools in 1989 and put his name on the door in 2003. Two sons, eight carpenters and one rule that outranks the rest: the site gets kept like the workshop.

Daniel Copeland
Workshop lead
Runs the bench: stairs, counters and every piece of joinery that leaves the workshop passes under his square first. Keeps the species rack stocked and the chisels in size order.
Marcus Copeland
Site lead
Runs the crews and the program. If a date is on your schedule, Marcus is the reason it holds; he has run three concurrent sites without dropping one since 2019.
Behind them: eight carpenters on the books, four of them trained here from their first year. Nobody on a Copeland site was hired that morning.
