At noboringsites, a custom website starts at A$2,250. Our website templates range from A$389 to A$695. Those are our prices, including GST, checked on 18 September 2026. Use them to compare our options. Other suppliers price their work differently.
Your final cost depends on what the website needs to do. A business that wants customers to call needs a different build from one that takes deposits, checks availability and sends confirmed bookings into a calendar.
Before comparing quotes, write down what should happen when a customer uses the site. That will tell you more about the budget than the number of pages.
What are you paying to improve?
A good website should help a suitable customer understand your offer, trust your business and take the next step. For some businesses, that step is a phone call. For others, it is a purchase, a quote request or a booking.
Start with the part that is getting in the way today. Perhaps your work looks better in person than it does online. Perhaps people keep asking questions the site should answer. Or perhaps an enquiry arrives by email, then someone has to copy it into a spreadsheet and chase the same information again.
Those are different problems. A redesign can address the first. Better content may address the second. The third needs a connected workflow as well as a website. Ask each supplier to explain how their proposed work addresses your problem.
Template or custom build?
A template makes sense when the design and page structure already suit you. You can put the budget into your photographs, service descriptions and setup. You will still need someone to customise it, connect any business tools and publish it.
A custom build makes sense when the design, content or customer experience needs to be worked out around your business. At our starting price, the brief defines the site. Additional functionality is priced into the quote before the work starts.
| Route | Our starting cost | What to allow for |
|---|---|---|
| Website template | A$389 to A$695 per site licence | Customisation, setup, hosting and your domain |
| Custom website | From A$2,250 | The functionality and integrations specified in your quote |
| Custom app or business system | Scoped individually | Users, permissions, data, integrations and ongoing support |
A template licence covers one live site. A custom build has different ownership terms. Read the template licence or build terms for the route you are buying.
If you are still deciding, our template-versus-custom guide works through the practical trade-offs.
What changes a website quote?
Booking rules. Linking to an existing booking tool is a different job from building availability, deposits, reminders and cancellation rules. Tell the supplier what you already use and what needs to change.
Selling online. A product page and an enquiry button are different from a store that handles stock, payment, shipping and returns. Explain the purchasing process, including the exceptions your staff deal with.
Moving an existing website. Content has to be brought across, old addresses need to lead to the right new pages, and forms and tracking need to keep working. Include your current URL in the brief. See our migration page if you are replacing an existing site.
Content and identity. Check who writes the service descriptions, supplies the photographs and prepares the logo files. A quote that assumes all of that is ready is pricing a different job from one that includes it.
Connections to other tools. “Connect our CRM” needs more detail. Which CRM? Which information should move? In which direction? What should happen if the connection fails? A supplier who asks these questions is defining work that would otherwise become a surprise later.
Budget for the year after launch
The build price is one part of the decision. Ask for the recurring costs separately, with the renewal price where it is known.
- Domain registration: an additional cost. Check the renewal price, who holds the account and how it is recovered.
- Hosting and maintenance: check what is included, who applies updates and how support is requested.
- Business tools: email, booking, CRM and payment services can have their own charges. Confirm which are included in your agreement.
- Changes: ask how new pages, features and content work are quoted after handover.
Our Standard hosting and care plan is A$290 a year, including GST. It is an annual plan for an existing site. Domain registration is additional. Current options and inclusions are on the pricing page.
Compare quotes using the same brief
Send each supplier the same short outline:
We run [business] for [customers]. We want visitors to [main action]. Our current site is [URL]. We already use [tools]. The new site needs to [specific requirements]. We can supply [content and assets]. We would like to launch around [date].
Then ask what the quote includes, what you need to supply, how changes are handled and what the ongoing charges cover. Ask to see relevant completed work. A low price is useful only if it covers the job you need done.
Be cautious with promises of a Google position or a guaranteed number of leads. A supplier can explain the work, show the quality and measure the result. They cannot choose what Google ranks or make every visitor buy.
