Hosting and domains with a build

A custom build is a one-off purchase. Before approving your quote, check whether it includes launch hosting and how long that lasts. Confirm any plan charges and the separate cost of registering or renewing your domain.

The hosting#

Your quote sets the build scope. Confirm whether it includes any hosting at launch and, if so, for how long.

• Hosting with us is included while your plan is active. The plan is an optional subscription.
• The plan is Standard Hosting and Care, billed once a year. Check current prices and availability on the pricing page. If Standard is taking a waitlist, agree the hosting arrangement for your build before launch.
• You can choose another host. After handover and full payment, ask for an export of your finished site.

The domain#

Domain registration and renewal are separate costs. No plan includes a domain.

• The domain is registered in your name, never ours.
• Confirm the registration price for the name you want before ordering it.
• Check the renewal price and who will manage it. Registration has a term, and keeping the name means renewing it.

Bringing a domain you already have#

If you already own one, nothing changes about its ownership.

• The registration stays where it is, in your name at your registrar.
• You keep control of it.
• Follow the steps to connect a domain you already own.

What is not included#

Check these costs before approving your quote.

• A free domain. Registration and renewal are charged separately.
• Indefinite hosting with the build fee. Confirm any launch hosting period on your quote and arrange hosting for when it ends.

Where it goes from launch#

Once the finished site is handed over and paid in full, you can:

• Host it with us on an active plan.
• Move it to your own host. Ask for an export. It is free.
• Hand it to another agency. You can have someone else host or change your finished site.
