How a custom build runs, step by step
A brief, a live preview you can click through, and two written rounds of changes, with nothing public until you approve it.
On this page
There is no discovery phase to sit through, because the scope was priced in the quiz before you paid. What follows is the whole process.
The four stages#
Nothing here waits on a meeting.
- The brief. You tell us about the business and hand over what you have.
- The build. We draw and build the site around that brief.
- The preview. Your real site, on a live link you can click through.
- The changes. Two written rounds are in the price.
The brief#
A brief first, and it is written rather than scheduled.
- The scope is already settled, because it was priced in the quiz before you paid.
- Send what you have - logo, photos, copy, the old site, whatever exists.
- Missing pieces are not a blocker. Say what is missing and we work around it.
The preview#
You approve a site, not a picture of one.
- It is your real site on a live preview you can click through.
- It is not a mockup, so what you approve is what a visitor gets.
- Nothing goes public until you approve it.
- An existing site keeps answering until the moment you switch over.
The change rounds#
Two written rounds of changes are in the price.
- Say what is wrong in either of them and we fix it.
- Written, not verbal, so nothing is lost between the saying and the doing.
- Further rounds are an add-on, priced before you buy one.
Going live#
The switch is the last step and it is yours to call.
- You approve the preview.
- Your domain points at the new site.
- The old site keeps answering right up to that point.
- Two months of hosting are included with the build.
