What you own at handover

On full payment the site is yours. This page is the line between what you own and the small amount that stays ours.

What you own#

The licence is perpetual and it is not tied to a plan.

• Run the site anywhere, on any host, for as long as you like.
• Change anything in it, or have anyone else change it.
• Host it yourself or hand it to another agency.
• Nothing expires. Cancelling a plan later does not touch any of it.

What was already yours#

Three things were never ours to hand over.

• Your domain, registered in your name at every stage.
• Your content - your words, your photos, your logo.
• Your data, including whatever your forms have collected.

What stays ours#

The machinery behind the site, not the site.

• Our hosting setup.
• Our monitoring.
• Our build systems.
• Where any of that is embedded in your site, you keep a perpetual licence to go on using it as part of that site.

What a third party gets#

Assets we licensed on your behalf follow their own supplier's terms.

• Stock images and fonts carry their own licence, and we pass you the record rather than a sublicence.
• The record names what each asset is cleared for, so a future developer is not guessing.

Getting a copy of it#

You do not have to ask us to release anything.

• Ask for an export by emailing [email protected] and we send a download link.
• It is free and there is no exit fee.
• What is in the export, and the window it is available in, are on move your site somewhere else.
